Understanding Your Wedding Flower Budget

As a good rule of thumb, we suggest your floral budget account for 10-15% of your overall wedding budget. If, on the other hand, you are looking for Pinterest-worthy, abundant design, we would suggest allocating 20-25% of your total wedding budget.

Most of our couples spend between $8,000-$15,000. But the most important thing to remember is that it’s your day. So the two of you get to decide what’s most important and use this list as a place to start when it comes to planning your budget.

Under $3,000

Depending on the size of the bridal party, this will cover all personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres). With a smaller bridal party, you’ll have some budget for bud vases on the reception tables OR cake flowers.

$3,000 - $7,000

This budget will cover the personal flowers as well as a feature element at the ceremony OR the reception (i.e. an archway OR a small hanging installation).

$7,000 - $10,000

Most often this includes personal flowers, a ceremony archway OR ceiling installation at the reception as well as bud vases and candles for the reception tables.

$10,000 - $15,000

With this budget, we plan for personal flowers and a high-impact feature at the ceremony. For the reception, this budget can also allow for a hanging feature as well as bud vases and candles for the tables. If you want traditional centerpieces at the reception, allow for another $5,000.

It’s almost impossible to provide all the details on each and every budget because every couple’s wedding is unique. The above list is here to provide you with some guidance to help the decision-making process. And don’t forget, we’re here to help guide you through this process so don’t hesitate to reach out with all your questions.

One thing to also remember when it comes to price. Wedding flowers are a LUXURY and a SERVICE! Florists are more than flowers alone.
